The Clean Growth UK Carbon Calculator 2.0 has been developed by a university team. It’s intuitive and simple to use, without compromising on detail and rigour.

Use it to calculate your SBTi-aligned annual carbon footprint measurements from 2019 onwards, including supply chain emissions.

Your dashboard displays your annual reports and net zero pathway in downloadable charts and graphs.

FAQs

1. You enter a few business details to get going.
2. The calculator divides your business activity into five buckets: Transport, Energy and Buildings, Water, Waste, and Supply Chain.
3. Within each bucket, you complete the areas that are relevant to your business activity.
4. The calculator tells you the carbon footprint of your business activity. For example, if you travelled 5,000 miles by aeroplane in 2019, it will tell you how much CO2e that generated.
5. Once your done, you'll have a carbon footprint report broken down by business activity - so you can put in place a data-driven reduction strategy.

Calculating your footprint annually allows you to track your progress and share how you're getting on with staff, customers, and other stakeholders.

The calculator allows you to create annual footprint reports as far back as 2019. You can choose when to start your reporting. The earliest year your report will act as your baseline.

Don't worry. You can just enter data into the sections that you do have data for.

You can come back later and add more data in as you gather it.

Absolutely! Communicating your progress is important because it will inspire others and help you unlock the business benefits of taking action. If nobody knows what you're doing, your impact will be limited.
