Smart Sustainable Plastic Packaging
The Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund has launched grant funding to support innovative projects addressing sustainability problems related to plastic packaging.
This grant funding is for U.K. businesses of all sizes and eligible projects must demonstrate an idea at a commercial scale which:
- Improves the sustainability of the plastic packaging supply chain
- Helps deliver the targets of the U.K. Plastics Pact
- Utilises innovation in design, technology, processes, business models, supply chains or data for plastic packaging
- Embeds a whole-systems approach to plastic packaging sustainability, considering environmental, economic, and social factors
Funding rate:
Grant funding between £1 million – £12 million, towards up to 45% of project costs.
Deadline:
The closing date for applications is 24 March 2021.
